There are many ways of celebrating National Payroll Week and we urge you to think outside the box to promote payroll, both within your organisation and across the UK and let’s make 2018 the most successful National Payroll Week yet.

Run a payroll awareness event
Invite your local MP to speak at your event. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to engage with other members of the constituency, email us for more information. Please note that we cannot guarantee the attendance of your local MP.

NPW celebrations at your office
Remind your supervisor that NPW is important, not only to those in your payroll department, but also to everyone in the company. Ensure you take photos of your co-workers celebrating National Payroll Week and send them to [email protected] or tweet @CIPP_UK using #NPW18

Check out your payslip on a coffee and cake break
Encourage employees to visit the payroll department for a friendly chat about how their payslip works. Make use of the CIPP’s payslip tool www.understandingyourpayslip.co.uk to help, it’s the perfect way to improve relations and make people aware of what’s available to them.

Shout about it!
Mention NPW on your intranet, email signature, media requests, letterhead, payslips or put an article in your company newsletter.

Information booth
Set up an area in the reception or entrance of your organisation, it’s the ideal place to get noticed. Use the items in your NPW pack to decorate your booth and it’ll be a good opportunity to get people involved and answer any questions.

Decorate
Fill high-traffic areas such as kitchens or receptions with NPW balloons and posters. Make use of the NPW artwork and print off extra versions on our website.

Invite the CIPP along*
We will be happy to come along and speak to your employers and colleagues about the importance of payroll and its impact on the organisation and society. *Subject to availability of speakers
